Airforce IS AIRFORCE GAINING POPULARITY AGAIN?

Don't hate on me but I feel completely the opposite. They are some of the most ugly airguns out there, they are all way to long for what they do, the trigger are pretty meh, they look like they are made out of stamped sheet metal. At the prices they sold for 2-3 years ago I could see some appeal, but for the updated prices near $1000 or more I would readily consider anything else other than maybe AEA.

To each there own I guess.

I don't hate you for your opinion but let's talk facts, if you take power, accuracy, weight of the pcp and price there is no equal.

I love my .257 LLS Texan and would not consider selling. However and this is just my opinion, after the Ton Jones video claim of a world record, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Again, just my opinion that Airforce sales moved in a slightly different direction after the video claim. Just like the nose on your head, everybody has one. An "Opinion" ....

I have the .308 and the good thing about them and the Airforce line, you can make them yours by changing the looks, Mad Dog stocks, TalonTunes, Pyramyd Air, TopAirGun for all kinds of parts.

I happen to feel the same. I owned a Talon SS for many years and when I bought it the cost was $350 dollars new. I am glad it was there and affordable and gave me a way in to PCPs, but it’s the same Airgun today, yet much more expensive and unregulated — still. I am all for low tech Airguns, believe me, but the prices are too high for what you are getting in the Condor and Talon lines. I really don’t like the handle/scope rail set up (awful design) and dovetail everything.

With all that said though I have many good memories with my Talon. It always shot, never broke, was very accurate. It just worked when I was very new to the hobby. Allowed me to just enjoy it. If I saw a good deal in the classifieds I would not be above grabbing a Condor .25 up and “tinkering” for sure. Just not at the new prices. Lol

All I have now left are 2 Air Force guns. One Talon P and Condor SS. both are .25. For me old school stays because old school isn’t complicated. No BS 44 o rings, regulator to go bad, magazines to lose. Ground squirrels don’t complain that they got shot with a Star Wars gun.

Where is a good place to get cz barrels? I have a condor n am interested in a non choked barrel.

you can always have the last inch turned off a factory barrel and recrowned.. PM me if you want that, it's easy with a lathe and I've always gotten very good crowns.. PS.. it will only cost you postage and just the barrel..

I just sold my Condor SS 22 caliber new in October last year.. $400 yes you are right.. my biggest issue with it was the tank is too high for my cheek.. so I had to use extra tall rings and risers to see through the scope.. and that puts the scope 2" above the barrel.. they really need to come factory with a drop-down like talon tunes drop-down..I probably should have bought the drop-down but I didn't want to void the warranty..
plus with all the changes I'd make, mine was blue and it would be better with the changes to have black..
does anyone know if the rifle in the video is available anywhere?
would be great if semi auto buy you can always get on and off the trigger quickly.. it's what I do with my blitz on the rare occasion that I go full auto..
magazine is another thing for me because with arthritis and carpal tunnel I can't shoot 177 and I started fumbling with 22 pellets too.
PS.. I replaced the Condor SS with a Seneca eagle claw 22 caliber, was actually surprised that it will shoot a 40 grain slugs faster than the Condor 18" barrel.. plus it gets more shots per fill.. and lever action actually is better for me as I love cowboy guns.. but I haven't gotten a chance to zero the scope yet so I don't know how accuracy will compare..
I've heard both ways on the Condor's.. but if there's a barrel lottery I must have won because both the Condor and the Condor SS would do dime size groups at 50 yards if I had a good day and well braced.. and the SS didn't care what I feed it.. still tight groups

I know I have coveted an Air Force .257 since I found out they existed. I guess for me the main reason I haven’t pulled the trigger on one is that I keep hearing that you basically have to buy a whole new stock to make then shoot well consistently… is that true?

Now that I’ve had my 250z for a few months and have learned 1000% more about airguns I would feel more confident getting one to set up as my main coyote gun. Kinda hard to beat 120fpe out of a gun that light when you’re chasing dogs in the high desert… but they did seem kind of daunting for a beginner at first.

no at least with the Condor's.. but you might need to get a talon tunes drop-down..or maybe it's just too wide of cheek bone I have?
also if I was getting a Texan, it would be a Texan lss in 308.. better selection of ammo..id shoot spire point boat tail.

also if you want to retain it's power, would make it heavier but if I was to go regulated the gun would stay standard Condor SS and then put a 700 cc bottle on the bottom dovetail and it would be a regulated bottle set at 3000 PSI..
or 2800 PSI if you are shooting less than 22 caliber..

Which brand of slugs are you using on your .22cal Condor? I've got one sitting in the safe dying of neglect that I should revive.

These Hollow Rebated Boat Tail Hollow Point Low Density Core in 24 grain are phenomenal.

I was shooting Zan 40 grain slugs 217.. and H&N 40 grain slugs 217.. couldn't tell any difference between them other than zan slugs are less money..
I found one that dug into the ground.. hollow point completely flat end..

Hi . Only talon tunes has them. They go for $340 n they worth every penny.. the most clean n constant bore you will see in a pcp , they have no transfer port so you could use the complete 28" .. n the machinists only need to do the part where the hammer slide and the 3 bushing. N done .. factory lead in in those barrels will let you use the longest slug per caliber in both..42gr in 22 -- 66gr in .25
