I didn't think shooting them rats would reduced their numbers eventually. It took nearly 6 months to finally kept the rat population in check. This farm was infested with more rats I have ever seen in my life. I always get 10-30 rats per visit, but the last two visits yield only three rats at two different locations.

I am disappointed but very happy for the farmer as this constant pressure of shooting these rats is paying off. I will be back when the activity picks up again.

I was hoping to use my new PP700SA to get a rat kill but no rats came out to play at the 7 yards mark.

Starlings will be my next target for now.

Enjoy.

Well we all know that you are good of Getting rid of the rats. It’s just that they Multiply so fast. It’s like an ongoing job.You shouldn’t have any problem shooting a little further with that PP 700. I do understand you have the Canadian version. I have the full Power version And backed the hammer spring off a little bit when I got it. But with a red dot,I can easily hit a 2 1/2 inch Spinner at 25 yards readily. And I’ve been using JSB 15.89 grns. I believe they are.The dot on my site is pretty small which helps. I would say with the right pellet you should easily be able to stretch it out to 15 Yards at least.I thought about later on putting a pistol scope on mine instead of the red dot. I was wondering how the trigger pull was on yours because mine was pretty lousy and affected my accuracy when I first got it. I’ve seen videos where people polish their’s but I didn’t need to do that. After I Adjusted it, it is real light and crisp now. And it passed the heavy bump test.

@Ripper. thanks, hopefully the rats will regenerate a bit so I will be asked to return and continue to shoot them in the dark. Maybe even with the PP700. I can increase the power if I choose to. But for the moment I am just practicing with the current setup as it is showing potential in terms of accuracy. I just have to train myself to be a better offhand air pistol shooter. Yes I have seen the trigger polishing job. thanks for watching.
