Looking for a way to shoot a pcp with iron sights. I’m thinking it would be best to buy an inexpensive model like a stormrider. New one could be purchased right now for $220. Anyone else like to occasionally shoot iron sights? and if so what do you use

When I first purchased my Crosman nitro I shot it with the scope and with the iron sights Out to 20 yards it was just as accurate with the iron sights.

I want to shoot iron sights the majority of the time. I want to put a peep sight on my Diana 34 EMS or get a Diana 460 magnum and de-tune it.
Finding good iron sights looks like it will cost as much as a scope if it is even possible to mount any.

I'm also a fairly new PCP owner, less than a year. When I first started looking at PCPs I also wanted one with iron sights, but it seems like no one would bother to sell models that were capable of iron sights unless you were looking at really bargain basement models (or Olympic). Most PCPs have zero provisions for iron sights and I think I understand why. The trajectory of a pellet is so parabolic that iron sights are not very useful unless you're always going to be shooting at a fixed distance (like 10m). Iron sights also add cost and complexity to an air rifle design. Many rifles have a shrouded barrel which makes mounting iron sights difficult if not impossible.

Not a pcp, but I have an hw77 which comes with iron sights. Very nice groups at 25yds, and I can hit 2” spinners at 40yds.

I use a red dot on my HW44 and slay cans at 52 yards. However, for a lot less money, Crosman has a new PCP for under $300 with open sights, decent reviews so far - https://www.crosman.com/product/crosman-icon-177

My very first PCP rifle was a Benjamin maximus.It comes with open sights.Although it’s a single shot, it’s still really accurate. I don’t even shoot it anymore because of buying several other PCP rifles afterwards.

I have Nova Liberty regulated with ron sights. I added a cheap Daisy peep. Nice set-up. Also have Stoeger XM1 un reg

New England airgun sells iron sights to fit on the receiver of ANY Pcp.. I have one mounted on a Daystate CRX. It is very accurate even though the span is only 13 inches.

I have an Air Venturi (Sam Yang) Sumatra with iron sights. If you want a PCP with iron sights and plenty of punch, this is your ticket. .25 caliber and Will Piatt tuned, it will push a 43gr slug on highest power to almost 100fpe. Or you can dial down to a more modest power and shoot diabolo pellets (my personal choice).

Some of the pistols do, if you like pistols. I have an Ataman AP16 and it's a hoot with iron sights.
Only other iron sight PCP I own is an HW100 I customized with a FWB 124 barrel lol

Now that’s The kind of set up I like the rear sight being back there by your eye were belongs. front sight out on the end of the barrel

It shoots very very good. The barrel is fantastic.
But it will wake the dead......This sucker is loud!
I keep it at 11.5fpe for FT work, and it has a silencer and scope fitted now for that. I can still put the site back on, but probably never will. It's just too loud.
