Depending on the gun half inch to an inch. Scope cuts that by half the size and less depends on what gun some PCPs and Vintage 10 meter spring guns can drill the same hole at 25 yards.

this was a 3 shot group at 55 yards if i remember correctly...HW95 .22...

Seriously. I am posting all these sight/accuracy threads to get people’s experience because I just messed up my HW95 with a drop I think. I am going to probably strip it and do a vortek upgrade

Don't they have a lifetime warranty from AoA? Shipping should be cheaper than buying a Vortek kit. Lifetime warranty applies to unaltered HW gun minus seals and normal wear items.

Mine is stock HW95 luxus. I have put a scope on it and shoots fairly well out to 55 yards when i do my part.

With match type sights, aperture front and rear, groups come very close to what can be done with a scope. With open sights, notch rear and post front, my accuracy drops off considerably. Last time I shot for groups at 25 yards I managed 0.45" with an HW55 with its match sights, and 0.95" with a FWB sport using its standard open sights. Both groups were ten shots.

A good rifle with iron sights at 25 yards off of a good rest I can keep my shots under 1.5" . If I'm having a really good day I can do a little better. That would be with either notch or peep sights. Probably a little better with peeps.

I shot an exceptional 40 yard group 90 minutes ago. Absolutely still conditions, the sun was filtered by all the smoke from western US fires creating perfect light conditions, too. I fired up my grill and put the meal on auto pilot while shooting 50 straight shots on fresh white paint. All shots hit steel, no misses. HW80...22...using the outstanding factory Weihrauch open sights. H&N 14.66 FTT pellets. Dare I say.....standing offhand? I may never put a scope back on that 80. Tin # 22 is gone.

I did a post on this a while back for a contest that never happened. Below is the best group at 42 yards five shots. With open sights. Actually 10 m peep sights. Still open.
