Iron sights adjustment

I used a laser bore sight to adjust my iron sights for a Crosman 2240. The good news is that the gun is hitting where I'm pointing it, however the windage adjustment is fairly extreme and I had to adjust the front blade with a bit of a cant to the right (the windage adjustment also is physically skewed towards the right). Is this a case of "it is what it is", or should I "reset" and try it again with the blade and the windage closer to center? I'm wondering if I'm not using the correct technique.

Also of note, I used the same laser bore sight to adjust the red/green dot on my Crosman 1322 and the adjustment was also fairly extreme, but it certainly hits where it's pointed.

Unless I'm badly mistaken, you are fighting adjustment with each sight. F sight to right (cant to right as you note) moves POI to the left. R sight to right moves POI to the right.

Acronym FORS for sight adjustments,,,

FRONT sight OPPOSITE (move sight left to move impact RIGHT)

REAR sight SAME (move sight left to move impact LEFT)
