Interesting observation

This morning I set my Boss, Crown and Impact up and shot until all 3 needed aired up. My tank was low so hooked it to the Daystate compressor and filled it. After filling all 3 guns noticed that rhe air cylinders on each gun were warmer to the touch. Not hot but noticeably warmer. When I shot all 3 guns again noticed that the accuracy had degraded slightly. Again not much, but noticeable. Wouldn't have thought anything about it but it seemed the same with all 3 guns. Anyone else run across this or is it just me. Sylvan

When the air is compressed it heats, so when you look at the gauge it shows higher than what it is at ambient.. When the air is cooling, such as moving through the gun/regulator it cools and gives a pressures that are all over the place.

I too have noticed that filling my reservoir causes it to heat up. My rifle has an electric pressure gauge that is constantly updating. I can watch the pressure decrease after the fill tank is turned off and the air settles in and cools.

After each shot, it takes a few moments for the pressure in the reservoir to settle down. As air is released from the reservoir, the remaining air is agitated. The pressure reads low at first and gradually rises a couple bar after a minute or so. Taking time between shots increases my consistency and accuracy. I've also noticed my gun is less accurate if shooting in the sun because the air reservoir heats up and changes the pressure inside. This probably doesn't affect a regulated gun as much as an unregulated one.

This is due to compression from the compressor, and going from a area of high pressure to low pressure, causes the air to be hot I air tanks. What my scuba shop usually does is plop the cf or scuba tank into some water for cooling.

you can even witness this when using compressed air canisters or spray can type stuff. The can gets icy cold when decompressing.

AirSupply. I thought about seeing if it would fit the Impact, but to do that would have to take the barrel off the Crown. Then remove the shroud and then remove the rear fitting that the shroud screws into. Then it could be tried. The shroud on the Crown covers to much of the barrel for it to fit through the body of the Impact. I'm not ready to pull it down that far just yet. Give Tom a couple of weeks and he won't be able to resist giving it a try. Sylvan

I can understand yes it is a lot of fiddling and I would just want to shoot my new rifle too.
No problem and we will find out soon I'm sure.
That is quite a collection of riffles to have lined up and shoot together and it must be interesting comparing them head to head.
They are the 3 FX rifles I would choose if I could take any.
Enjoy your new Crown😊
