Will a standard weight wadcutter work as well as a HP inside of 15 yards? This is for large rats.

Wadcutters work extremely well for short-range pest control.
Is a hollow point better? Well, if it’s equally accurate and actually expands, it would be somewhat better. Seldom is that the case in my experience but if you find one that matches that criteria, by all means use it.

If it's that close I would shoot them backwards you be surprised some pellets shoot fine backwards at close to medium range even cheap Crosman pellets.

I always wondered if that would work. I think I'll give it a try. For fun I think I'll shoot one backwards into a water jug.

if I knew all my shooting would be within 25 yds i would find a wadcutter that grouped well and nothing else!
