Input Needed .. BSA Ultra SE Tactical .177 Cal Synthetic Stock PCP Carbine

I’ve done tests with both the BSA Ultra synthetic and the BSA Ultra JSR (now own this one). Both test rifles were in .177 and were great Airguns to shoot and own. Personally I like the wood stock over the synthetic but that is a personal preference vs how the Airgun performs.

Absolutely needs a moderator like the DonnyFL in the video. I would go as far to say the Tanto moderator improves the rifle’s performance too.

I posted asking about this platform a little while ago. Here's my thread. I hop you can find good info in it. I still don't own one, but still thinking about getting one. Has a good reputation. From all reviews I have seen on YouTube, it is accurate as all get out. Very compact, seems very reliable, and from what I hear, easy to work on. AoA had them on sale a while back and I hesitated. I don't think I will the next time. Good luck.

I have the BSA Scorpion SE .177 full power version with synthetic stock. One of my best airgun purchases ever. I'm not a fan of synthetic stocks, in fact this is the only one in my cabinet. But I was quite surprised when I got it, it seems solid and well made (not at all like the synrod stock I had to compare it to.) I have had mine a few years now, using a TKO moderator and doing fine.

Amazon has had the SE synthetics at $599.99 since sometime after Christmas.

Not much cheaper than regular price as I recall.

To be honest I don't recall the deal, but I believe it was a good $100 cheaper on all models than their usual price. I know it was not around Christmas, was a bit before then, actually was before Thanksgiving, because I was looking for deals on BF and no go.

I have one in Scorpion Se full power format. I disagree with the easy to work on part. I've opened these up and done significant work on their internals and they're well put together and very high quality, but not super trivial to take apart. But the build quality is superb, as good as any other hand built European gun. The magazines are great, the magazine release is slick, the bolt is snickety smoother silk, makes those rich warm sounds when operating all parts of it. I usually like wood but I do have the synthetic stock and it's definitely the best synthetic stock I've seen, and I've seen them all. It's super heavy and solid, feels like the stocks on my big bore real tactical firearms. It is fairly heavy though, but mine's the full length barrel, cylinder, and solid stock. I'm actually going to detune it with a regulator at some point, because it's more powerful than I need, and quite loud. A large Donny does a good job on it, and right now it wears an Astille with one extra extension and it's not silent, but quite quiet. There's little to no ping, and the firing cycle is very nice.

I have more high-end air rifles than I can remember, and I would say this one is tied for my favorite, alongside my air arms s400 and s510.

interestingly the single shot system on these is amazing, it's not just a tray but a hinged flip open loader, that's milled from aluminum, and is ultra high quality. Nothing like any other single loader system. Though the loader cost 50 bucks, as soon as I tried one I instantly ordered one.
