Informal Winter Targets

My very cool neighbor graciously volunteered to clear my driveway of snow using his year-old snowblower. An act of generosity and much welcomed. Some of my Christmas lights paid the price, but ain't no thing. His was a gift I'll not disparage.

And look, I have a passel of targets for Winter plinking! Had to use the snips to get the line untangled from the blower's rotary blade... meh, life gives you lemons and all that.

Thats a great idea. I have tons of the really small ones that dont really work good anymore. The only problem would be the glass everywhere. Maybe build a small wide box to catch the glass. I love reactive targets. Paper is so boring for me. Thanks for the idea

Have you guys ever seen Necco waffers? They are these weird I think fruit flavored things. They look like colored communion waffers and they come in a roll like life savers. Any ways ID say they are about the size of a quarter and they blow apart when you hit them with a pellet. I see them in the candy isle at gas stations

Yeah, @Scrufhunter, those wafers have been around forever (in some cases, that's true of individual packages of the indestructible things!) and others on this forum have used them as targets. Basically like shooting a thin disk of chalk - shatters beautifully and leaves no mess to clean up. I keep forgetting to look for them when I go to the Quik-Mart or wherever...

Those wafers sound a bit expensive to me for just target. What about Smarties? Those suckers are small, round, chalky, and don't think would cost that much.

Have you thought about stripping the ends and taping them to a 9v battery if the bulbs are intact it would be cool.

I don't know why they are so expensive on the web, but I find them at the gas station for 85c per atleast 50 I think.....yeah they have been around forever. The ones I've ever seen I think must have been the first batch ever made. I tried to eat them before,...........I guess they come from Canada
