hello,just picked this interesting rifle up and looking for some general info on it..... i.e. when was it made? are they rare? thinking they are because I've never seen one for sale. are they swiss or german made? mine has the barrel sleeve and adjustable butt pad, so maybe it's a 497? missing original sights,so not sure what it came with. definately appears to be a well made rifle,any info is appreciated, thanks!
