indicative fps for .25 FX Hybrids and quality..

I've been waiting for this day for so long.. and when I open the boxes, I see so much lead shredding..

I really don't know what I should think of this mess.. does not look very good quality.. 

what would be the best way to clean slugs and how much fps you recommend to use for those?

When I get pellets with excessive mold flashing, I tumble them by hand in a wire strainer.

I use dish soap and hot water to clean my pellets and lube them with Napier power pellet lube. I haven't shot any .25 hybrids.

Out of my MKII with the PP the 960-970fps range was good.

I couldnt get better group then 2" at 55 yards with slug liner. No use for me.

For the price they charge, they should do a better job on quality.

A little low pressure air or vacuum should clear that up at the factory. They should have something to clear out the junk before it leaves the factory.

okkay..now I'm trying those and I'm not very confident... I try 940 - 1069fps... not much difference.. maybe a little bit smaller group with highter fps, butt then I notice some flyers too.. 75yard, about 2" groups is easy.. smaller than this was already more difficult to achieve.. maybe more testing tomorrow.

Both the .22 and .25 hybrid slugs I got looked like that. Yuck.

I would get some lead dust in the old NSA slugs too, but the new method Nick and sons use, with the sonic washing and lube are almost magically clean (and shoot great too!) and like half the price.

Maybe very high productivity also determines quality.. because all over the world expect products from their stores.. but still, I expected better quality..

But there is one more bad thing, .25 cal hyprids not expanding so well, than .22cal do.. I have seen many videos where they shooting into ballistic gel and .25hyprids not expand at all. Only things that contain a lot of water make them expand.. I tried this myself as well, if you shoot tomato, melon, etc. they works well, but a piece of meat doesn’t do that.. I have to try this today at even higher fps.. maybe +1030fps do something..let see..

but.. if something bad, also something good.. hyprids trajectory so much better than normal slugs and pellets, they go straight for really long distance!

And I believe that their accuracy is great enough for hunting, if I get to hit them in 1,5" inch for 75 - 90yd.. let’s see what I get done today.

FX designed the Superior liner when doing R&D for the .25cal hybrids. I think you could be reasonable certain it is going to work better. They made it pretty clear they wouldn’t shoot as well in the normal pellet/slug liner. Your results aren’t surprising.

That is very valid result! Use you 600 or 700mm liner and is it slug,pellet or superior liner? And what fps?

Maybe you’re just right about that.. there is only one big problem, I can't get Superior liner in Finland right now from any store .. and in other countries stocks are empty as well.. this will be a long time to wait....

I just watched a one video, where it said that: "...pellet liner not shoot hybrid so well, but if you think why you would buy superior if you already own slugliner, answer is that superior liner shot both, pellets and slugs well.." So they have not said that slug liner would not wok or be worse than superior..
