Just curious mostly but,
I've had an Air Arms S410E in .22 cal for many years, (8-10 not sure). I've always been happy with everything about it. I still am.
It has a slow leak so I've been on line looking for parts. While doing that I checked out the current AA offerings and I see that they now have the S510 in .25 caliber.
I got exited and nearly ordered one from PA, then discovered that the fpe is not really any different between the 2 sizes. That's disappointing.
I know the BC is better on the .25 pellets but it's not enough of a difference to justify a $1200 investment all by itself.
SO, my question is, IS there a way to get more power/velocity?
The .25 is rated in the mid 800's fps. It would be nice if it had the velocity of the .22.
I'm shooting JSB Exact Jumbo's that are about 16 gr. When I'm in the sweet spot they chony in the very high 900's and sometimes top 1000 for a few shots.
I know there are other Brands that already have more power, but I like the AA, and I really like the noise level in my .22. They did an excellent job designing the shroud/moderator in it. I think the other, more powerful guns would be very loud.
SO, are there parts available that would force more air to the pellet when I pull the trigger?
thx,
Jim
