I found today that I can pull the bolt all the way back and pull the trigger and this combined with the use of a screwdriver to snug the cap as well as possible makes a much larger hole in my gun than without this method of charging the 2240
Using a screwdriver to tighten the cap is wrong. Should be hand snug only. The first shot punctures the cart not tightening the cap. You flatten out the cart seal by over tightening and will have to replace it more often.

Don't use a screwdriver, but do cock the 2240 before hand tightning the end cap - a little rub on your nose on the end of the cartridge (like you would on a fishing rod ferrule) -the natural oil from your skin is all thats required -
