Increasing FX .25 Impact Power Settings for 33grn JSB heavies.

Guys im currently shooting 25grn Kings with the rifle on its factory settings up to 900ftps I’d like to test and try out the 33grn Heavies but the fastest they wil fire is a tad over 800ftps, I’d like to wind it up to say 875fps and then dial down to find the best speed.
Hammer spring slack is 17mm and reg is 125.
Any advice on cranking up the power and if I alter the reg pressure will this have an adverse effect when shooting the 24grns?
Cheers.

I don’t have an impact. But I have a crown. I upped the regulator pressure to 140 bar and put the hammer spring on max. I didn’t take off the knob and max it out all the way like ted said to do. I’m getting 845 fps at 54 fpe. I also clean my pellets in dawn dish was and lube them with slick 50 super 1 lube. I find the 34 grains are very dirty. With unclean pellets the barrel need cleaning very often I find. I have been cleaning my pellets since I got my crown and put like 4 tins through the gun and it’s still good.

Oh with factory setting fx claims the crown can get 100 shot with 25.4 grain jsb. I never tested it. But with my reg at 140 bar I can still achieve 60 to 70 shots on a fill. I tested that twice. I usually stop at 150 bar on the reg pressure gauge and fill the gun. I find it’s more consistent after fill up with the first 2 shots.

I just made a post about this and two people that responded to me will help you out a lot. I don't know how to link the forum but look up "shot count" thread it's also about the impact. A lot of good info

I adjusted all the slack out of the HS ajuster, which was a lot out of my Crown. With the regulator set at 135-138bar it was shooting heavies at 870 -872 on Max. The next lower setting (5) dropped it all the down to 830's. I was looking for something around the 850 mark so I ended up lowering the regulator to 130bar. Now at setting 4 that has me in the 850's and number 5 was in the 860's. It's only my second regulator adjustment but it seemed like the higher the regulated pressure the larger the difference was in the settings. Just seemed that way to me.. your mileage may vary.

Perkyval, what was your regulator set on?

Mine shoot like a laser at 50 and 60 no wind always have .45 to .50 groups.

only problem is 1st shoot it's always low, I havhave played and move all the settings aand can't get rid of 1s1st shoot low. I did it once but accuracy decreased because it wasn't in harmony.

i guess what you makemake in one department you lose in the other so I have learn to live whit first shoot being low after like 6 hours.

I too found that on lower power wheel settings the first shot was low. I also found that on Max you don’t get that low first shot. So I lowered the reg down a little and now I’m shooting around 850 fps on Max. It seems to group very well at that setting. Extreme spread is 11 fps and now no slow first shot. Ernest gave me that tip BTW.
