So I needed a storage space more protective and befitting my air-rifle. It has been leaning against the wall behind the door of the furnace closet. Problem is the furnace closet is close to the backdoor and out the backdoor is where I see rabbits. I found a Stack-On in-wall storage cabinet for 64 dollars and decided that would do the trick.
The packaging is very minimalistic. If you do get one and the packaging is damage in any way, I would imagine the cabinet would be too.
I didn't want my rifle dinged up so I decided to line the cabinet with carpet. Carpet was 60 cents a square ft and you had to buy carpet in 12ft x 12inches increments at Lowes so I ended up with a 12 x 2 foot for 15 dollars. The cabinet is 14 inches wide. I used Loctite Contact Adhesive to attach the carpet.
Attaching the inside carpet. The Magnet was used to keep it from moving.
Here is the cabinet installed in the furnace closet. I still need to take care of the wires leading to the controller I removed from the wall for this project.
Here is the cabinet with the shelves and a battery operated light installed.
Looking forward to your comments and suggestions.
