In the wind thought the scope was off.

So got to a spot with less wind and behind me. Shot a 5 shot groupe at a measured 40 yards. 1st shot about right 2nd shot missed target 3rd missed target 4th missed target 5th about 3/8" to the right. Well poop, now this is a 8"×11" paper target. So go look at the taget, pull it off back stop, there is a pellet showoning, reach down yank it off there is another and another. Now I've gotten some good groups but 4 on top of each other that you can't see an enlarged hole "nice". I do realize there has to be luck involved but nice.

I've done that too. I start cranking the dial and realize crap, all I need to do is hold off for the wind (I'm a hold off shooter). Now when I get them sighted in on a calm day, I just hold off for the wind and hold over/under after I test at various ranges and make a range card.

Which was better: Having a 4 stack of pellets or the relief that nothing was wrong with your rifle? Lol. I will dial for elevation but generally hold off for wind.
