I have Beeman R7 that Ive owned since '96 and it has always been VERY accurate. Since then,I installed a Vortek kit with the moly piston seal...and it continued to be Very accurate. Last fall I was shooting and grabbed the R7 and at 25 yds it was suddenly grouping about 6 inches! It wasnt dropped, dry fired ect. Since then its been disassembled,re-lubed,examined,I reinstalled the stock piston seal, polished the bore w/JB Bore past, cleaned up the crown, double checked barrel pivot bolt tension, made sure to repeatedly check stock screws, replaced the breech seal, mounted 3 different scopes and re-installed the iron sights. I inspected the Vortek kit and cant see any problems. Piston rod is snug, trigger works very well and the barrel is mirror clean. What am I missing? Do I need to immerse it in Holy water or just throw it in the creek? Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. I contemplated pulling my hair out but I already look like a Chia Pet that didn't come with enough seeds.
