In Search for the Perfect Airgun Scope

I’m also in the market for a great scope. I , unlike most really like fixed power with side focus. I have a Discovery HD 10x and a Vector 10x , both are decent , I find the glass to be just as good as my Athlon at the same magnification. Each have their faults, the Vector is nice and light at 570 grams, but only focuses down to 12yards . Other wise I’d buy another . The discovery has illuminated reticle but with it off the reticle is much too thin. Now if the discovery or Vector had the HD or better yet the ED glass with the better thicker reticle , adjustable down to 5 yards without illumination in the same light 570 grams we’d have a winner

The 6-24x50 Argos BTR goes down to 10 yards but about the same clarity as your SWFA 20x.

Nope, on the last part! I've looked through many Argos BTR's.

I could hardly stand looking through the SWFA 20x.

My two friends and I compared my Argos BTR, as well as his Argos BTR, both 6-24's, to my SWFA 3-15. At 421Y we were shooting at a "freshly black painted" steel Silhouette turkey with 22rf's and were hitting it about 1/3rd the time. We couldn't see the hits with the SWFA and could see them with the Argos, all scopes on 15x for a fair comparison.
