In need of my own PCP

Hi all! Short back story, I purchased one of the Leshiy 2's in .25 350mm and a Hill Mk V pump for me. Spouse got their hands on it, now 350+ pellets shot, the scope and mounts off their 6.5 Creedmoor and I am out an air rifle.

Now I need to buy something else, When I bought the Leshiy 2 the Prophet Performance in .22 LR was my coin toss loss. Looking for advice and opinions from those who know more than myself on this subject. The spouse suggested a second Leshiy, it is a beautifully made piece of equipment, it feels great, and it is a viable choice.

On the positive side the spouse has gotten some great cardio work pumping the L2 with the hill pump!

Thanks!

Will see how the Prophet Performance in .22 LR goes, noted it was in stock at AOA. It was my runner up when buying the L2, now it will be my primary. I will now search the board for a good fill tank and possibly a compressor, I do not need the Hill Pump exercise program on a daily basis! I have also noticed that there are some great add-ons that OriOn The Iguana Hunter has produced.

Now off to work!

It is kind of funny Margaret,

My wife sounds similar to your spouse. She will try something of mine and sometimes just say one word. "Mine". And I know that I have 'lost' that particular item!

But at the same time it brings me great joy as she shows continuing enthusiasm for one of my hobbies/obsessions! (And it opens the door to me for another purchase).😉

I've never shot a Leshiy but I understand them to be great guns and wonderfully engineered. I had a Prophet in .22 for a little while and while the gun was a real powerhouse it was never really that pleasant to shoot. I know that Steve Scially has said that handling the Impact is like handling a box of knives, and I felt the same way about the Prophet. Never reached the point of harmonic tune with that gun as I have with others, but then again mine was the standard model, so not as easily tunable as the Performance model.

Have you thought about an Uragan? Those appear to be in stock at AOA in .22 as well. I have experience with AGT guns via an Uragan King, and based on that I have really looked at picking up another one in either the Standard or a Compact format.

I would get another Semiauto. The SK19 even has a full auto happy switch.

At least a SAM Marauder. No fun if one of you has to cock their gun for every shot.

@Tmh This is not the last PCP purchase I or well now we will make! The evolution of the relationship has been fun, she went from not wanting powder burners, to enough to require another safe, we even work at a gun store on Sundays to help out a dear friend.

I will check out the Uragan, they did cross my radar, I appreciate the suggestion. IF there are any fill tanks to recommended would appreciate that too. Was looking at the Great White offered on Edgun West and possibly a compressor.

I will give feed back on the Prophet when it shows and I get to shoot it! Not shooting any thing that takes powder at this time except for a .17mach 2

Thanks again!

-Meg

@Odoyle Yes super tempting! it's just money and time right?

I would suggest picking up that Great White tank from Brian at EDgun West before getting another PCP unless you can afford both. With how often I shoot mine, especially setup in .30cal right now, I can't imagine using a hand pump to fill it up. As I type this, I'm drinking my coffee waiting for a dove to land on a tree 60 yards away.

Great looking setup! I have both budgeted, they are our vacation, going out fund from last year, and our normal powder, primer, projectile budget from the past 10 months. I think the Hill pump is great, it will just end up being used for small top offs. I have a LaRue ranch mount coming from my dad for the L2 have a US Optics T12 for it, thought about tossing the EoTech 512 on for about 1/100th of a second.

Edit; Is that an Arken Scope on your L2? Also what barrel are you running? We have a 350 .25 and a 250 ,22 coming from a purchase here. Want to add a .30 in something longer.

The scope on mine is a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20×50 F1. Right now, I'm running a .30/350mm barrel on it but I also have barrels in .25/250, .25/350, .25/450, .30/350, .30/450. When I got mine last year, I was mostly running it with the .25/250mm barrel with an Aimpoint Micro T1. That was a fun setup as well. I have both my NF and Aimpoint on LaRue mounts to switch between the two.

I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me with a new Daystate Pulsar Saxon edition in .22 cal. At least your spouse used their own scope. Mine commandeered a new Trijicon that I had just bought and even swiped some of my pellets. I feel pretty violated over the entire deal. In all seriousness I’m glad she liked it so much since we get to shoot together now. I even made a nice shooting bench to accommodate both of us. I opted to get the same rifle for myself in the high power version. It’s a little different with the longer barrel and extra power so I’m glad I got it. I sure wouldn’t have bought myself the exact same thing since I can shoot the other one anytime I want to. So I think you made a good choice going with the RTI.

Air Guns of Arizona deserves kudos at this point in the transaction. They called me to let me know made a purchase of a wrong weight in pellets a change was made at no additional cost, pretty awesome! We talked about additional barrels, I mentioned the ,25 and it was quickly dismissed "This might not be the best sales pitch, the .25 will not be of much benefit over the ,22" the rep was awesome, still made a sale of a .30 barrel and magazine, and an assortment of pellets. They are shipping Monday, now to buy a suppressor, fill tank and maybe a compressor.
