Impact X slug liners 600 vs 700 mm

I don't have experience with either in an Impact. Currently using a 600mm on my Crown 22 though.

The 700mm would be appropriate if you want to shoot the heavier slugs, like 26 or 27gr, as the added length is needed in order to get those above 930fps.

The 600mm is ideal for the lighter slugs, like 23 and 24gr. I get the 23gr going 925fps at 155bar. The 24gr D-Rig slugs should be about 10fps slower... I'll know exactly next week when they come in.

One could say the 700mm would let you run the lighter slugs using less reg pressure, which is true. But consider that the 600 and 700mm have different twist rates, 1:18 and 1:16 respectively, and you can see that the 700mm barrel is intended for the heavier slugs.

That said, I measured the twist rate on my 600mm barrel and got 1:16. Considering that I've recorded the 22.5 and 23gr slugs wobbling, it's possible that the lighter slugs don't like the faster twist, which is why I ordered up a couple hundred 24gr to try.
