Impact vs Crown

Impact for me and I feel completely satisfied. (For now).

The Crowns are beautiful and extremely accurate but too long and too nice for me to worry about while hunting.

I'm sure most would be thrilled with either one. I would pick what goes more with your personal style of shooting.

One thing that helped my decision was what are all the "celebrity" guys shooting? Since they get to shoot what ever they want!

To me the Impact is more all-purpose. Great for hunting...light and quick. Easy to carry in the woods. It also has a history of taking home the prize in bench.competition.

People say the Crown is easy to work on and that is a big plus. Make a list of pros and cons for each and what you'd like the gun to do and one will emerge as the winner.

I have an Impact but the Crown with a green laminate stock is something beautiful to behold.

Have fun deciding.

The Crown is capable of some high and tight performance if you take just a little time over the Chrono. Here are two charts, both with the same slugs at 150bar and factory AMP regulator.

You can see the single-digit Extreme Spread and some good power. The first chart is with just a hammer weight, what I call a Stage 1 kit. The second chart is with hammer weight, and enlarged Transfer Port and pellet probe......I call it Stage 2 kit.

I hope to try a bored--out Valve seat (Stage 3 kit) later this month. This is 22 w/ 600mm barrel. This is some good power from the Crown, but probably no match for the Impact MKII.

This was the first time I had the Crown torn down. With the help of Ernest's videos, it was pretty easy.
