How new is your gun? I am getting my new impact from AOA this Wednesday. Wonder if it will have this new valve housing.

I’d say it will. I picked this up yesterday but it had been waiting there for me for about a month. I just purchased it as a part.

Great. Would be an easy update for an older Impact also. I’m waiting on one of Ernest’s titanium valve seats and will install them together.

That means a lot of air going in. I personally have one of Ernest Valve seats and can get my .30 44gn to shoot 860fps at aound 110b. I'm curious how having one over the other or both together effect anything. I know that with the valve seat I am able to get over 65 shots on an accurate shooting .30 cal air rifle.

I think as general rule a larger plenum and a lower regulator pressure can give you FPE with a better ES and SD and shot count.

Your figures are great anyway Elite. I suppose really you’ll get more power or more efficiently not both. I had already drilled out my housing and I got an increase of 15fps with the .25 King Heavies but I’d like to get that with a lower regulator pressure and less HST if possible. It should be a little easier on the internals of the gun also.

Where can you buy one of these improved valve housings? I went to Ernest's web site, under construction, and there is no way to place an order. I would also like to get one of his improved valve seats.

Yeah I would love a new valve seat too. But he told me he was too busy to make them. So I don't know when they will be available.

The valve housing pictured above is an FX part not one of Ernest’s. That is now the way the FX factory makes the parts. So just order it from where ever you get your parts.

So fx have followed Ernest lead and the Fx stock item is now machined the same as his modification. Explains why later Impacts are getting more velocity at lower reg pressures.
hi... i have one of these on my impact. the parts list (B29) says all 4 orings are 10.5 x 2 mm. but the bottom oring in this picture .. i cant get it into the tube to screw in... it just wont go in the tube? is the last oring a different size ?
any suggestions ..... im stuck.

The cutout I think is to facilitate the installation of an external plenum without having to cut the valve housing. If the valve seat and body is the same then I don’t see this increasing speeds on its own.

No, the cutout is on top and not at bottom where the external plenum would fit. You still need to cut out the 3rd leg on the valve housing to allow better flow of air for the external plenum.

@ahmed here's my port job I do to the housing, removing extra bits. Smooth transition, to flow the air like a race engine.
