Has anyone tried to adjust the trigger.? I have some creep in the second stage but I can't turn the second stage screw. Does anyone else have this problem? Does FX routinely loc-tite this screw?
I did a Google search to find the answer to that same question last week. Ernest has a video. I used that and was able to set a good long 1st stage and a crisp 2nd stage. Make sure you are turning the right screws.
Yes, I was following his procedure last night.Even took the plate off the side to see the mechanism. The second stage adjust screw will not turn. This really does suck.
Drums If you think the screw has thread lock on,heat an hex key over a stove red hot and put it into the hex head and hold it there for a short qhile it will free the loctite Rgds steve
Thanks....Looks like an easy removal so I think will take it out and really look at things and then I'll try with the heat. It's curious that they'd loc-tite that. Appreciate the input!
Hi drums Ive got a brand new impact here in 25,and adjusted the rod to the oower wheel and that was thread locked very tight, will do trigger adjustment over the weekend and see what is what, heat works every time with thread Rgds steve
Steve, Applied heat as you said to do and voila! The adhesive melted and I was able to remove the screw clean, add a light application of AC-3 and adjust to a nice crisp break. Thanks very much for the tip. Worked like a charm. KP
