Impact reg questions

It depends who you ask and what their personal experiences have been. A brand new reg assembly from FX USA runs about $50 whereas the Huma is double that.

I do like the fact that Huma uses a brass reg piston instead of delrin. Huma claims that recovery time is faster between shots and is more consistent, but I can’t speak to those claims personally.

Installation and maintenance between the two options are probably the same. The Huma uses a delrin disk to seal between the piston and set screw. Much less expensive to replace than the delrin piston on the FX reg, and Huma throws extras in the bag.

I’m running a Huma in my Impact X MKI and it works well. I have 10mm body with 16mm piston and low pressure spring washers. Reg is set at 82 bar shooting 18.1’s at 900 fps tuned down to 880 fps using valve stop.

I have an old Impact-x before the AMP reg so 10mm x 16mm as well. The stock FX reg had a flat spot in the piston from the factory and it was faster to install a Huma than deal with FX, for the parts, which took near three months. So the Huma is no better no worse than the Stock reg as far as I can see but it has lasted about 6000 shots with no problem thus far.

I like the fact that the Huma has a brass piston but then it also has an aluminum body which I don't care for. I like the fact that the body of the FX is brass but not that the piston is plastic. The Allen head adjustment on the FX is so much better than the Huma. The Huma uses a flat head screwdriver which make it a bit clumsy when adjustment time comes.
