Impact Power Wheel Not Effective

I have had my Impact about 8 months now. Bought it used. Replaced the quad o-ring and C3. Shooting 25 grain pellets I was getting 967 on MAX. Turning the power wheel down all the way to min did not affect much in velocity change. I ended up adjusting the valve adjuster so I am showing two lines with the wheel on MIN and am getting 880 average. I must note that my accuracy and consistency has improved. Any suggestions on the power wheel?

Here is how my valve adjuster was set from the factory. It shoots 880fps with 25g on power 5. I wonder if your regulator is set too high (967 is fast) or the power wheel adjuster screw (next to the wheel) is out of adjustment.

AOA set my impact before shipping it to me a couple weeks ago.I believe the reg is set at 140bar and on (max power wheel) the JSB 25.4grs shoot 906fps according to the crono sheet they sent with the gun.I have been shooting targets at 70yrds with good accuracy groups under an inch. I have been getting 80+ full power shots per fill and have turned down the power wheel to #4 and can hear it when i shoot although i don't have a chronograph as of yet so not sure what the fps is. 967fps sounds extremely hot to me and If i had to guess id say your regulator is maxed out.

You have to much hammer spring preload! 😆

you need to back out the fine adjustment screw on the power wheel till you have speed decreases from 840 max 650 min fps with .25 heavies or what ever pellet and speed you want. There is so many adjustments combo to meet your needs, you just happen To experience some else setting. I set mine like that when I shoot the heavies past over 925fps

My reg gage reads 150 bar and has since I got the gun. Here is some history. I was shooting 18.3 gr with the 22 barrel installed and was getting about 940 on max. I had 2 long and 2 short lines visible. I had good speed range with the power wheel. I had adjusted the power wheel as per Ernest's video. Shooting at 2 on the power wheel gave my about 890 and excellent accuracy. All was well with the world. Then I noted a bubbling sound when I was shooting, it was intermittent for a few days and then it became obvious I had a leak by the power wheel. I took my heart in my hands and took my gun apart and replaced the quad seal. Once again all was well. Then I got my 25 cal barrel and was at the range shooting and after a number of magazines my POI started dropping and after a couple shots stabilized about 3 inches lower. About 2 magazines later it dropped another 3 inches. There were no audible leaks and the gun held air. I took the gun home and tor it apart checking all the o-rings for damage. As I was talking the valve rod out I noted that seal C3 was torn. I replaced it and went back to the range and immediately my POI was about 6 inches above the last time. When I put it on the crony I noted on MAX with the 25.39 I was shooting 960ish. Using the crony I tried to bring the speed down with the power wheel and noted very little difference form AZX to MIN. It was only by using the valve spring tensioner thatI was able to get my speed down.

When I get another fairly calm day I will try making some adjustments to the screw on the power wheel and add some play to it on MAX to see what happens..
