Since you shoot slugs, I have noticed you can loose some speed after a freresh barrel clean. You probably need some ammounts of shots before it is back.

When I removed a section on my huma moderator on my taipan, I lost some accuracy. Instead of trying a new setting, I put the section back, so I had the same moderator as when I tuned the gun.
I have debated going with the higher reg pressure thing with this gun. But what always stopped me is when you have the HS cranked up to crack the valve, your gun is more active when you squeeze the trigger. The harmonics of a 100b gun and a 150b gun are night and day. But maybe the trade offs are worth it. I will be headed home tonight so I will try a few things. I need to look at my notes again.
What’s funny is my gun being stubborn to tune happened after swapping scopes. Went from a 34mm to a 30 and used the same brand mount, just moved it from the front of the rail to the back. When I changed my reg gauge I was curious how far off it was so I didn’t want to touch my reg to drain the plenum. Fortunately with an Impact if you shoot it down close to the regs set point, when you untwist the bottle the plenum automatically drains. That’s when I found out that the tune I thought I had at 117b was really a 130b tune. I’m not going to touch the gun for a couple days for fear of throwing it off in the weeds. I’m leaving for my trip with a couple more reliable guns but will keep checking this topic for ideas on my approach when I get back home. I just found it unusual that I had to close off the valve so much to find accuracy even at 50yards. Hell, I don’t think the gun needs a silencer at that 850fps setting.
Finally shot at 100yrds tonight. I won’t show my groups because I will either be called a liar or I’ll get 20 PM’s requesting settings. I’m very happy. Now the million dollar question, how long will the gun stay put and keep me happy. Slug velocity is 952fps now. Here is a little info on slugs vs velocity. I have found amazing 100yrd accuracy with this gun and slug at 850, 880, 920, 935 and now 952fps. My opinion is if you have to speed up a slug chasing accuracy, something else is wrong.
