I’ve got a brand new FX impact Mk2, in .22. The shroud is loose, like there’s no support near the front of the air-stripper that I assume is inside. It wobbles about 1/16” or more.
It doesn’t seem to be causing any issues, but doesn’t seem right, either. I assume there’s an o-ring on an air-stripper inside this thing that came loose.
Does anybody have any photographs or video of the inside of the shroud, or tips on how to remove it? All of the videos and posts I can find here are related to the old Mk 1 shrouds. It looks like I’ll need a pin spanner, unless somebody has any other tips. I’ve tried the obvious ways to get it off, and I’m thinking the threads are locked.
Also, can anyone tell me if the DonnyFL Impact shroud is a worthwhile upgrade on my rifle? Will it work on a Mk2?
