Nice! Is your second reg the stock AMP reg? That shot string looks very consistent- would you say it’s a noticeable improvement?

just curious, do they make a shorter one? Do you have a link handy??? I assume that’s just a dream line huma in-line regulator

qball, click on the Huma banner on the home page and go to external regulators, you will see their bottle reg. but no shorter ones. Altaros makes one too.

Improved. A lot accuracy is much better now 

my STD was always around 4 with 14 to 20 fps SPRD

only modification Is the valve bottle to fit on the huma reg 

and finally the bottle gauge is on the left side

I've been pondering doing this but wasn't entirely sure it'd fit without issue. Glad to see it fits really well!

Can you unscrew the bottle as needed or do the fill port and gauge get in the way without removing the barrel shroud?

The only problem is that you hv to empty the bottle completely to remove it 
yes you can unscrew the bottle And the reg with no problem no need to remove the barrel and rail as the huma reg is 2 pcs kit

are you saying the original bottle on the impact no longer is used? Why ? Wrong threads?


The term valve bottle has me confused. If you just had said bottle (?) 

maybe I am not understanding.

You have to remove the valve from the bottle 

make the valve shorter and fit it to the impact block without The bottle so you will fit the huma reg instead And you add the bottle to the huma reg you an the yellow circle its the valve fitted to huma reg

Can you not simply fit the reg between the bottle and FX valve, so that it simply screws on and off the gun as usual with the reg part of the unit? When you say you need to shorten the valve, which part of the valve are you referring to? The threads that screw into the bottle?

unscrew the nut 

from Bottom to top should be around 28.30mm to fit in huma reg

I’m actually surprised Huma hasn’t made one that’s a direct replacement without having to modify any parts. I run an Altaros reg on one of my Evanix bottle guns and it has single digit ES over 150 shots .

I guess it wouldn’t matter until I got one but you say “ unscrew the nut”. I’m assuming you are talking about the large brass nut closest to your fingers and wouldn’t unscrewing it make it longer? The red tape indicates where it’s going it get shorter? 
I know how difficult it is to explain something like this . A video would accomplish it in seconds but trying to describe this when the other guy doesn’t have a clue or even a similar piece to look at is not easy. Appreciate your effort to explain.

This is really cool and I bet FX will have a strait bottle adapter out soon. Think I’ll wait for the FX version so I can adjust it without degassing the whole thing and can just unscrew the bottle. Can’t wait!

I wondering if it's feasible to make up a small extension piece instead of having to potentially break your valve to get it to fit? Might look a little more ungainly but certainly seems a better option.

yes it has to be shortened to the red line

Regarding the valve that i modified its still operate as normal when using it if i remove the huma i did Make a New threaded In case i want to add it back to normal

Okay cool. Yah modifying the valve itself like that is out of my league but I'll see about getting an extension made. Wouldn't have to be very long and I can put up with the slightly odd looks.

lol fun times trying to tune a impact that degases the bottle and not being able to adjust the reg pressurized... Makes sense to tune the gun to the second reg pressure... then install the reg adapter and set the 1 reg pressure.. Knowing FX they're probably reading this post and will be releasing a dual reg solution for the impact shortly.
