Impact mag won’t cycle

When my .22 Impact mag is at about half full, it will no longer cycle without me rattling the gun. I bought the gun used, and I suppose it’s possible the spring is just worn out. Is it possible to replace the spring, or am I looking at needing a whole new magazine? It’s for a MkII Impact, in case that makes any difference.

You can dissasemble the mag, and wind the spring more, to gets more tension. It is a simple procedure, but there is a couple of small steel balls you do not want to loose

Thanks for the info. I just looked up a video on how to do it. I also loosened the silver bolt in the middle of the magazine, and it turns more freely. It may have just been snugged down too tight. I’m relatively new to Impacts, so I’m still learning the nuances of the inner workings.

too little spring tension.

my impact mag was too strong so i took it apart and lessened the spring tension,

takes a few tries to get it right,
and sometimes you will get it too light and it wont cycle without shaking it a little.

Also, watch for the oring which side goes.
