So it's in! The M3 Showed up about an hour ago, came through the door with the Wife, couldn't be more perfect (she had no idea). Thought about waiting for the weekend to show her or glittering up the gun with colored attachments but instead of revealing this his/her project I thought we would do it together, we just upgraded the compact with a 600mm barrel so we can do some comparing and competing this weekend
.
Spent the last 30 minutes just staring and touching now my wife has it, thought id tell you guys about it
)).
Anyway out of the box it's overwhelming. The first thing I compared was weight, I'm not sure the specific lbs for each gun but they feel about the same, didn't notice much of a difference there which is good. I wouldn't have really minded if it was heavier but I prefer that light gun so happy there.
The next thing I'm looking at is this power wheel, hammer spring tension "Quick tune System", Wow this macro/micro adjuster is incredible. I saw that tunes are already being shared on youtube with some of the big airgunners so I definitely will be watching these guys, see if I can get a pre-tune before we get it gassed up and on the range with the chronographs. This is the 700mm barrel with a .30 caliber btw. These Wika gauges are solid, feel tough, look tough no complaints there.
The cocking lever is smooth, I like this short throw, I saw Ernest put these out on people's impacts before, and it's way more comfortable plus there is a spring in front of this cocking mechanism that gives it some quick kickback, just a little more oomph when fast cocking. (Keep in mind this is all just from toying around checking it out without firing yet),
The trigger is adjustable! So this is a very neat feature, I'm going to be trying to find a better sweet spot, I haven't taken this into consideration before (mostly cause I have never had an adjustable trigger but I have been shooting for years I think these small tailored features can really improve mine and my wife shots).
I put one of those cleaning pellets in the magazine just to be able to put the mag on it and see if it felt any better, It does feel snugger in a side-by-side comparison. So A lot more to come ill be posting again as we tune it, and get it zeroed, But these are just some of the sweet things we noticed off the get-go.
