I just installed the slug kit in my .22 M3. Tungsten hammer, lighter valve spring, rubber ball, pin probe. I think I may be doing something wrong because it's quite difficult to turn the valve adjuster any tighter than line 3. I'm running an 800mm slug barrel with 180 bar 1st reg/160 bar 2nd reg setup for max power, and when I started tuning, I had to back out the valve adjuster to about 14.25 mm, which would be around line 9 if you use your imagination.
I guess it's because the valve stem is now encountering a small rubber ball where before there wasn't one. But in all the installation guides I was told in no uncertain terms that it's very important to screw the valve stem back on at exactly the same location as before (in my case it was sticking out around 6.14mm). I still have to loosen the valve adjuster by about 8 turns before it actually comes off the housing so I'm not too worried about the impact of the hammer shearing off threads over time. It just seems odd that I have to back out the valve adjuster this much just to get full power out of the gun (around 110 J in this configuration).
One more small issue (?): at macro 16, micro can't be adjusted any higher than 4 and a bit before the trigger doesn't engage any more. I think I could comfortably reach 5 on the micro adjuster before, but I'm guessing that's because the tungsten hammer is physically longer?
Is it ok like this, or has something gone horribly wrong here?
