Impact M3 — 1st time with 25.4 grn pellets

So I’ve had an M3 for a few months now. Been shooting 15,18, and Hades jsb pellets. awesome accuracy with the hades at 50 yards.

Decided to turn the gun up and get the fx 25.4 grn pellets moving and give them a try.
1st reg at 160ish
2nd reg at 140-145
macro at 14
Micro just a tad over 4.5
valve is 1/2 a turn past the 4th line

I didn’t shoot over the chrony today but I’m somewhere around 950 - 955 fps, at least that’s where it was when I turned it up.

Today I wanted to see if I was ”on paper” — could only get 37 yards where I was today. Shot 15 pellets. Holy sheet.

There’s 10 shots here. The flyer was my 1st shot for this group. I gotta try this on the 100 yard range.

Please post the results of your 100 yard groups with the 25.4 grain pellets. My experience with 25.4 grain .22 caliber pellets have been very good at 50 yards. However, at 100 yards the groups look like shotgun blasts. The pellets seem to become unstable beyond 60-75 yards.
My apologies for the earlier post (now deleted). Somehow, I had slugs on the brain. When using JSB KO 25.4 gr KO slugs producing 50 yard groups like those you posted, they've usually translated to nice groups at 100 yards when the wind cooperated.
Good luck with your tests. Don't be surprised if the groups open up at 100 yards with 25.4 pellets.

Try them at 1020 fps for 100 yards.

Made it to the range today, went right to the 100 yard benches.
I’ll flat out say it, results with 25.4 grn fx pellets sucked in the speeds I was shooting. I did not bring a chrony but started at around 960 fps and turned the micro hammer adjust down 2 clicks for each group/target. I shot 10 targets like this. Stopped when it was obvious things where going too slow.

Once I got through those 10 targets I went back and set the gun up to where it was the best and turned 1 click each way on the micro adjust. This time shooting 10 shot groups, if thats what you want to call them.

these are the best results with the 25.4 — not good

Without changing any settings, at the end of the day, I shot 9 zan 23 grn slugs sized .218
I also shot 10 JSB 15.89 grn pellets. I have no idea how fast they where moving. They got to the target fast, thats for sure.

not all shots hit the paper, but the ones that missed where close, right on the edge of the target.

I will chrony them tomorrow night.

I think I have the pellet port down. Not easy for me to tell, I’m one of the lucky ones where the barrel is stuck on, gotta make a tool. Not a big deal just haven’t done it yet.

I’m thinking I’ll give the 25 grn pellets one more shot, turn the gun up to the suggested 1050 if I can get there. Also I guess I have to swap to the slug port and see what happens.
One thing I don’t like is only getting 40 shots per fill at these high regulator settings...

Try using dual transfer port and pin probe and go upto 1050 fps gradually testing the groups.

I hope you will get good results with. .22. 25 grain redesigned pellets.

Got some chrony numbers tonight — settings are how I was shooting for the above pictures - this is shooting through the single hole transfer port on the barrel

25.4 grn fx pellets — 954 fps avg.
23 grn zan slugs sized .218 — 993 fps avg.
18.1 grn fx pellets — 1072 fps avg.
15.89 grn JSB pellets — 1116 fps avg.

then I flipped the barrel and shot a few thru the double hole transfer port — changed nothing but the transfer port
Only shot a few 25.4 grn pellets which averaged out to 998 fps

looks like I should be able to get to 1050 — will turn up the regs tomorrow and try again, then back to the hundred yard range and see if it was worth it. I do not have a pin probe to try.

I know I’m not gonna like the shot count per fill at these high regulator settings but I’ll give it a try

you went from 954 fps w/25gr then 998 no pin probe

Doesn’t look like I’m gonna get to 1050 without buying parts.

1st reg at 185 bar
2nd reg at 150 bar
macro 16, micro 5

25.4 grn pellet at 1013fps avg.

I did try with the 2nd reg up at 160 bar, dropped my fps down into the low 990’s — I guess thats my hammer/spring combo not able to overcome the extra pressure on the valve

I’ll try shooting where I’m at on the 100 yard range — I’m not expecting much improvement
