Impact liner o rings

Hey Keyman,

Your liner should have had o-rings, 3 I believe. Maybe they are stuck in the outer barrel tube? I hope they are not missing.

The size of the o-rings for the .25cal liner are 5.5x2.0mm NBR70 (FX number 19953 if you need to order them.) The 3 o-rings should be equally distributed over the liner, so one every about 9 inches.

There have been discussions on whether or not they are 'needed' (accuracy with/without) since the liner is tensioned by the front barrel nut. I don't have an impact anymore and I never removed those orings for testing. I wouldn't stress over them being missing but I would make sure they are not in the barrel tube, it would make putting the liner back in rather difficult. If you do put orings back in, I've seen folks use a few wraps of tape on the liner to help hold them in place while inserting in into the barrel. If they are in the tube, you can just shoot them out via a dry fire (without the liner) into a pile of rags or the like.

Again, I've never done it, just stuff I read here.

Do not do that, You might blow out some small O-rings which are in the barrel tube also. If that happens they are almost impossible to put back, without heating and removing the endpeace of the barell tube.

Tor, educate me.... With the bolt closed and thus the probe covering the oring in the brass barrel fitting, what oring would be at risk?
