Tuning Impact hammer creep

Anyone had hammer adjustment creep? Shot a mag, was shooting at 935 (normal for my tune) by the end of the magazine I’m shooting 900-905. Seemed odd. This is a fairly new gun, so I’m still getting used to it but I have several other PCPs that haven’t done this. 

I checked my hammer adjustment and it had crept nearly 1.00mm tighter. So my tune had it at 17.75mm and when I measured after the FPS drop 16.65mm both checked at MAX.

I’ve seen hammer adjustment stops sold online to keep the hammer from moving. Are people using these or should I tackle this problem some other way?

1 drop of blue loctite should fix it.

Yup that is what I was going to say. Plus you don't need to add it very often.

I can see the appeal of the loctite, but I’ve never needed it. When tighting the hammer adjust knob screw, depress the knob to compress the springs behind the ball bearings. This actually both ensure you fully seat the screw and removes the unnecessary force on the threads as you tighten.

Some need some LT and some don’t, if there is good resistance when adjusting? I’ve never seen those move, if they spin freely? You need a micro drop from the end of a tooth pick. Be careful with blue on that small of fastener, it will be pretty strong, a bottle of 222ms purple is ideal for these applications. IMO

Clear finger nail polish works well also, put some on the thread to the block inside the hole after adjustment is made
