Impact Guru

Being nearly out of Mark 2's I went back to 25g pellets (JSB) of course . shooting, after re zeroing at a passable 1" group @ 100. all of a sudden my crack shooter went to wild shooting.
searching for everything. barrels tight and clean. airs good speeds good. Finally ? am I clipping moderator. As you know Impact moderators are hollow so the only place you can clip is the outside cap. I remove the moderator to clean barrel but I'm sure it was tight.(pretty sure, Ill cinch it up for sure when pellets come in. I had played around with the valve adjusting and I thought I might have a clip track. although I had readjusted valve . anyway. I removed 2 of the 5 segments and went back to pellet on pellet and or groups of 1" or less @ 100. shot 100 rds. w/ these results! and w/25g the gun is still back yard friendly. Not so w/34g. quite a snap. The 34s had a POI difference but 1" @ 100 . I am awaiting my shipment of 34g Mark2's and will work with the moderator and adjustments to see what happens then. .. I don't see how you could bend the moderator being a plastic of sorts it would surely break. And I have not banged it around!!!. anything similar from you guys???

I'm wondering if the stack up order would change things? Each segment may be a little off by .0001 or so. Which in normal cases, it wouldn't make much of a difference. But maybe you hit the lottery and created the perfect storm, and stacked it in the perfect way for all those to line up perfectly?
Try and change the order of the segments and see if that makes a difference!

Good Luck!
