I installed a bag rider on my Impact, but it really got in my way for bench shooting. Not enough room for the hand/grip without contorting my wrist to miss the lower 'bar'. So, I turned it around so that the widest part is now at the grip instead of the butt. World of difference! Much more comfortable and easier to use the grip without contorting.

It took some very minor bending but fits like a glove. If you have the same issue, give it a try.

I redesigned my Impact stock for better fit, I made it longer for about 45mm. Shooting of the bench (only), because my hammer spring is stiffer and when I am pulling the cocking arm harder the length of pull must be right.

if you're running a traditional ar styled angled grip, you can also try a reduced angle mod0 grip from bravo company, or a variety of vertical grips.

like others, i don't have your rifle or a visual picture of the issue in my head.

I prefer a lesser angle than stock grips, like zero angle, which is why my guns sport the ergo 0 angle grips.

I flipped the bag rider end to end, not upside down. This makes it so that the wide part normally being at the butt end is now at the grip. It looks a little odd, but not too bad. I can handle the odd look due to the comfort of the stock now as the entire grip is now truly available to grip instead of having that little 'bump' in the way (the little bump is now at the butt end).
