IMPACT 700MM X BARREL

I'm considering purchasing the 700mm x barrel for my impact. I know they put the x barrels on the crown and i thought the new wildcats? Those who have used both barrels (smoth twist and x barrels) whats your opinion on the difference in accuracy? Would you say its worth the $500.00 upgrade? That's more or less the cost for the 700mm w/shroud and probe.

Wouldn’t be worth $500 to me. I have an impact and wildcat and they are both accurate guns. I watched AEAC’s video of the mk2 wildcat where he compares both barrels and I thought the difference in accuracy was negligible with pellets. However if you plan to shoot bullets it might be worth the money.

$429 AOA. I'm thinking of it. Preordered but am considering. A 600mm barrel kit is $254. Probably the way to go. However, I like to shoot 100 yds and out so I'm looking @ 700mm.

For me the x-barrel is definitely worth it. I have a Crown and Impact and have switched the barrel between the 2 for now. (.25)
I have ordered a 700mm barrel in 30 cal. 
I thought I had accurate barrels before the Crown but
its in a different league. 

On a calm day after a few groups at around an inch I shot this group at 100y. 
Thats 5 shots at 100y!
I shot that with the normal Kings not Heavies.

Thanks guys your input is appreciated. I also watched that video cahil_2 and agree but that group AirSuply shot speaks volumes. The longer barrel is also suppose to increase velocity but not sure how much. Big difference in price between the two barrel lengths Kekman62421 i guess you wouldnt need the shroud or probe with the 600mm.

In retrospect, a $2000 pellet gun is steep. I have 2 of them so that tells you how damn silly I am.

With testing the .30 700mm barrel at a higher speed to see how stable it would be at 935fps with unsorted 44g pellet.

this group at 95y, my target is top left pellet impacts with the black inner circle, 5-10 winds. I think it’s a great groups to improve upon, with sorted pellets and better scope at least 25X, I was using 12X at the time.

Im right there with you Keyman, my first PCP was a Bobcat gen1 and had to pay extra to get it regulated, cant remember exactly but it was close to 2000...Personaly i dont regret either purchase.

WOW! sniperlabyo Awesome group. OK im sold on the 700mm now my only decision is caliber 25 or 30? My Impact is currently.25 Is it true that the c/e is better in 25 than 30?

So you could probably shoot this water bottle with a slingshot but....let me show off my Ernest tuned Impact at 57yrs 34gr heavy's aiming at just the edge of the water bottle lid. Its amazing to me how the pellet stayed on course straight through the lid.

I was under the impression that the kit; barrel, shroud, probe and moderator would be $429.

Then if you already have the caliber, that upgrade would be; barrel and shroud $269?

Have you tested the JSB 50g pellets as well?
Are they equally as accurate?
