Impact 35 I was excited

So I have one that has been shipped and should be in my Hands Monday, after 140 days of waiting.. On another forum something interesting came up when I mentioned I have one coming and i was excited as heck until... ......

here's the quote from a couple of folks in the forum that got one early and the discussion on this other forum that followed has kind of taken the wind out of my excitement sails.

"This is not a SUB MOA gun at 70 yards let alone 100. You can tune this all day long and it's a disaster. 2 inches is more common than is MOA at 100..."

"Search you Tube... for Impact 35 or FX impact 35 and see what you get. Are their any accuracy videos (minus Ted's where the 35 was a disaster)? Any follow up videos to the very few "youtube personalities" that did "unboxing videos" and why out of all the Money and free guns FX sends to the "airgun youtubers" who have had this gun for 5,6,7 months... do we not have follow up videos? It's because this gun is no more accurate than the other 35's that have been around for years, it's simply not an MOA or sub MOA gun like we have grown accustomed to with FX. The discussion about whether we should expect a 357 to be MOA or sub MOA is a discussion for another time, but the fact FX usual YouTube marketing shooters are quiet on this gun should tell you all you need to know"

These people who you quote may have a point, but most of those YouTube celebrity marketing guy's are shooting the .22 caliber at pest birds and such. So they may not have been given the .35 to market by FX. Therefore, you may see a different result as far as accuracy goes.

Because of the larger .35 caliber and all that goes along with pushing that bigger projectile, the Impact's design probably puts a lot of harmonics into the shot. Therefore, the gun probably is not as accurate as a smaller caliber that is not "beating up" the gun at every shot. There are a couple of things that you can do to change harmonics with the Impact's platform, like harder buna o-rings in the barrel support blocks and adding the carbon fiber sleeves inside and out of the barrel tube that Ernest Rowe offers as a kit. And in the end, if you do not like it there is always the classified section of the forum where it will surely sell quickly.

.35 caliber is used for hunting and 2 inches at 100 yards sounds very reasonable for this caliber enough to cleanly dispatch a pig at 100 yards.

Would be great if they came out with a .257 for extreme long range target shooting.

The FX Impacts are so versatile you could use the .35 for hunting and buy caliber change kits to easily swap out for target shooting without having to buy another rifle.

Hitting pop cans at 200 yards and MOA at 100. Looks like they do OK to me. It's plain that Ted was dealing with a bit of wind as he says and you can hear it in the video. I expect with the right ammo and tune most of the guns will be MOA at 100 yards as all of the other calibers, including my .25, are just that.

I personally don't own the .35 impact BUT i have shot it at 50,75 100 and 150 yards and was getting at least MOA at 100 yards. I didn't do groups at 150 just hit targets within MOA of my POA. Thats just my personal experience. I loveeee the .35 as far as Semi-big bore rifles (not sure if its actually considered a big bore) butttt I don't own one because I don't have a compressor yet and don't want to change out my air that much lol.
