Impact 35 cal slug liner

I’m running the 93 nsa at 910-915. I’ve also had decent luck with the luck 7 meat punch 93s.

@Cranky1 That is some expansion. What diameter is working, as in .356, .357, or .358 etc....

Thanks for the updates. I'm hoping to hold accuracy at faster speeds than the standard stx bbl. My stx barrel shoots the 93 nsa .357 really well in the 860 to close to the 890 fps range. After that it sprays them.
.357 diameter. I’m running the tensioned superior heavy (slug)liner with tungsten hammer and huma pin probe. I have the huma dual port, but I haven’t installed it.

I was able to shoot the 35 NSA's today with tensioned slug barrel. 93 grain, .358 diameter and they shot very well at 100 yards. If I could only have a consistent hold on the gun they would shoot better, may have to order one of those backbones. One of the groups was 8 shots that split into two groups that was under 2" - each 4 shot group was less than an inch each. I blame the two group deal on my hold, it was very apparent before I was done shooting that it was me. Current speed is 910 fps.

I should be receiving mine this weekend and am extremely happy to finally get my hands on it. I kept the .35 just for pellets because I knew it wouldn’t shoot slugs with the accuracy I wanted. I know some had luck with the NSA slugs but I wasn’t one of them, when I did try.
Can’t wait to get it installed and then try it out with the different slugs which are now out.

@ram2jeep You and me both. I probably won't install mine until after turkey season though. Recently, I also ordered the bullet central spring to see if it differs from the huma spring. I will get some measurements of it for all to know when I receive it.

In regards to the heavy liner, hopefully it doesn't take a ton of slugs to settle it down and lead it up.

As promised, here are the measurements and some pictures of the bullet central impact spring. It is much smaller in appearence and blue in color.

In order is the stock spring, the huma spring, and the bc spring.

Bc spring was 45.86mm long with a 5.35 to 5.37mm entrance for a hammer weight. Wire size was around 1.25mm.

It should be noted that although smaller in appearance, it feels really stiff to compress.

Before install, I will have to purchase the bc hammer weight or have one made because the entrance hole is far slimmer. The original hammer weight dimensions were around 6.8mm in diameter.

Installed the slug liner and got some promising fps with the 93gr NSA slugs. Tomorrow will be around 70 degrees so I’ll be able to test for accuracy.
I have the 93 and 79gr from NSA and the .35 FX hybrids to play with as well as some of the pellets.

Nice, right now I am tuned around 890 fps with the standard stx barrel and 93 grain nsa's. I have had it all the way to 975fps before, but accuracy was horrible.

My plan soon is to install the heavy liner along with a bc shroud, heavy hammer and spring. Eventually I want to get a 700cc tank too. Right now I average around 10-12 shots before I fall of the reg. My 1st reg is deleted as I am running 175 bar or so on the 2nd reg.
