Is there any interest in 700mm impact barrel kits? I would of thought 600mm was more than long enough.

Why not. Those guns are powerhouses, and.177 struggles with barrel volume. Would allow for heavier projectiles, but FX would have to get on the ball with their 177 barrels. I think a .20 would be nice though.

I asked RTI if there was going to be a 600mm .177 and he pretty much said that there was not a need to go over 500mm. Now there is 600mm and 700mm. At what point does it get to be where it is too long especially with the .177.

I just got a 700mm one a few days ago, from huma air, and so far I have good result shooting the 13 grain JSB knockout slugs. It doeas not come with the slug/pellet transfer port, as the .22 version, so switched it with the one I had one my 500 mm barrell. Do not know if it nescesarry, but I did order the carbon fiber sleeve with it.

I personally have better results shooting slugs out of the 700mm barrel, than I had with my 500mm. I know Ted Bier speculated in one of his videos a longer smoothtwist-x barrel can be benefitial (apart from the increased speed) when shooting slugs, because of the shallow groves, the slug can " skid" the rifling in a short barrel. If it is true or not, I really do not know. But I personally have better results, even the barrel has the same 1/18 twist rate as the 500mm one.
