Impact .177 700 mmm for starlings, skunks and coons

The impact MK 2 .177 with 700 mm barrel shooting ZAN 13 grain slugs at 975 is truly awesome!
13 grain zans over 900 fps create a mini explosion in starlings skunks, and even raccoons. I’ve never seen anything like it with a pellet gun.

In the last month, I shot multiple Starlings out to 175, 4 skunks and one raccoon between 30 and 60 yards, and all humane kills. I haven’t measured shot count but it’s probably around 150 per fill. I’m thinking about dialing it back to about 930 fps to increase shot count… as I don’t need the extra power.

I highly recommend the 700mm 177 slug barrel!

I was not aware there was a .177 700mm option. Have been interested in a Panthera .177 600 and have been waiting for reviews, but have not seen any yet. That's great to hear, have you tried the Zan 20 grain?
I have the Panthera 600 in 177 and it is a peach. The Zan 20s work for me but I’m at 5500 elevation and others have stated that the FX barrel doesn’t have enough twist to stabilize them at sea level. The 16s are my daily drivers though and I don’t need the extra juice of the 20g. I also shoot the 13s out of a Wildcat BT compact and the 10s from a Leshiy Classic 350mm. I guess you could say that I’m a 177 slug aficionado and based on the other posts, they seem to be popular here in Utah!
