A year after purchasing my FXWildcat .22 I'm still elated. It has not let me down at well over 100 squirrels. I just re-sighted my Hawke
4-12 from my original 40 yard zero to 60, as cutting a few trees has pushed my distance out. The pellet on the right was the first shot. Two clicks left and the next 5 are gravy. At that distance it still has the power to blow through 3/4 inch plywood. Set um up Joe! Precision makes pesting so fun.

I can't get my WC .25 to group that well at 25yds. Have tried the usual pellets and then some. Still working the issue and will hopefully re-test tomorrow after finding at fixing something today...wish me luck.

Work hard, but expect it. Don't tinker with anything that would void your warrantee. Mine is stock straight out of the box and should perform that well in my opinion.

I actually placed a .25 caliber Huggett on my .22 Wildcat. I wanted to make sure I had no pellet clipping. It is super quiet. The reason I used the larger diameter moderator is that I had an issue previously on another gun. I owned a Verminator with an FX modular moderator on it and after some sloothing found my inconsistent grouping was occurring due to the pellets striking the inner edge of the moderator. Once I reamed out the individual baffles on a drill press the gun was dead on. So with that knowledge I went with the larger bore with my .22 Wildcat. The good thing is, if I ever buy a .25 I can use the Huggett on both😬 I don't know if you are using an LDC/moderator but if so check your accuracy with it off.

Seems I inadvertently hijacked a positive thread, and I hate it when folks do that, so my profound apologies to the OP, who I'm thrilled for. Posts like his have inspired me to not settle for the 4 MOA groups (across a variety of the most popular pellets) I've seen on my .25 WC since new.

However, you are barking up the correct tree, my friend! Darren at AOA suggested that the (AOA installed) Huggett might be clipping, so I took a closer look. It was unscrewed approximately two turns on the shroud, and the shroud itself was also unscrewed a couple of turns. It's CRAZY windy here this week so I haven't been able to re-test yet. Hoping that the simple fix is the correct one! Will report back here when I know either way.

Thanks plinker. I designed and made the Magholders. I'm a machinist by trade. You're obviously one heck of a woodworker. Nice job on that stock! I had read comments here and there about your Wildcat stock project but I could never find the thread so thanks for the link :)

Plinker. That stock is just outstanding. I have the Wildcat in 22 and 25. Put a NC moderator on the 22 and it was clipping. After talking with Neil put the barrel in the lathe and checked the face where the moderator meets the barrel. It was not true and canted the moderator causing the clipping. Trued it up and solved the problem. The 25 has a Huggett like yours. I have put it on the 22 like you have done and can not tell any difference in sound between the two. These Wildcats are out of the first batch delivered and the 22 is my go to gun. I've lost count, but it's shot well over 15K rounds trouble free. I can not say enough good about the wildcat.

Matt, I've taken courses in machine tool technology and love it, but the equipment is soooo expensive that you really can't do it as a hobbie. Woodworking tools are a little more reasonable. 

Kitplanenut I think the Wildcat platform is great! I wouldn't mind having other pcp's but it does everything I need. I have to many other hobbies to indulge in an impact, though it is quite a cool gun. If I branch out it will probably be a .25, but I'm absolutely spoiled with how quiet my .22 is.

Update: I am closer to joining the "Love my Wildcat" club. Was able to bang consistent 8-shot groups yesterday that measured between 1/8" and 1/4
" ctc at 25 yds. Looking forward to testing at 50 as soon as the wind calms down again.
