I'm not in love, so just forget it...

It's just a silly phase, I'm goin' through. Pfft, yeah, right. I have a 4th Crosman 760 coming next week, and my 5th antique Crosman over all. I'm reassembling the restored 760-D Pumpmaster for my brother. So I've been on EBay the last couple days looking at Crosman rifles. Not a model 70 in sight. Mostly scads of 2100B's and a plethora of 760's. Closing in on the last page, I spotted it. Okay, another 760. Looking it over, it's in average to decent shape. Plastic receiver, welded sights, what looks like ABS stocks with the extra detailing. I'm thinking variant 7, 1983-1991. Seller said it works. I got it for $24.95!

I feel like an antsy kid the week before Christmas! Can't wait till next Wednesday...

And the 760-D, going back together now;

and here is an update with some photos of my Crosman 760 collection. Ken Steers, my buddy and moderator on the Facebook groups ( I have 4 myself), sent me a couple Centerpoint's with Hawke mounts. I put the Centerpoint 3-9x32 on the 760-B in place of the optima. And used the low rise Hawke mounts off it in place of the medium rise mounts on the 760v1. So here they are now...

Nice collection. Igot a 101 out of an attic we were cleaning out for a relative. Nobody wanted it. It sits awaiting a reseal trip to Bakers as soon as I can scrap together a few extra pennies. My old 760 from a garage find from another relative also needs some tlc and a new barrel but im too obsessed with pcp right nowto toss coin their way. Ahh this hobby real kills the cash flow.

Nice. Brings back so many memories of my 766? Was that what it was back in 1978? God I just dated myself. How many times did I pump that gun? 10000 50000 100000 times? I would shoot so much on the weekends i could barely move my arm on Monday. So many phonebooks blasted to pieces. My parents would take the rifle away as the constant sound of the pumping drove them nuts! Yea those were fun times. Funny thing is that I still enjoy shooting as much and maybe even a little more as i still have to pump up the pcp tanks but get a lot more shots between pumps lol.

No, the 766 and 66 came later, in the 1980's. And my wife bought me a Centerpoint 4x32 scope I put on the 760-B. And my spare Optima went on the 66 Powermaster when I cleaned it up and ordered some screws and other NOS replacement parts From My buddy Mike Baker in Montana. They'll be here Thursday for a quick video and a lil test firing. I'm negotiating for a nice looking 761XL Powermaster, variant 1 now.

Wow you sir are a true wealth of knowledge. What was the other crosman of 1976 or 77. It looked like the 2100. On a side note ran up to my property over the weekend and grabbed the 760. My granddaughter has been begging to shoot. I told her she can shoot once she can pump the 760 3 times. Dang kid was able to do it first try!. She was so excited to be shooting. We only had 10 minutes before the rain started up again but she was able to hit her target (an old plastic trash can lid) at 10 yards open sights. She visits me every weekend so some target shooting is coming up this weekend fot sure. Man I forgot how much fun those pumpers were to shoot.
