Iguana hunting in PR

Took my boy racolon (Rafael) hunting this week. He and his uncle shot 41 iguanas with the longest at 129 yards. He can shoot!

Just got back to the states and had a chance to post. This was definitely the best experience I’ve ever had in Puerto Rico.
Andy (puertorico) was really the best. He was very kind to take me hunting iguanas which I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time.
I still can’t believe how he was able to spot them with the naked eye at such a long distance. He’s got built in binoculars!!!
I’m now setting up a gun to leave in Puerto Rico permanently so I can go hunt anytime without the gun transport hassle. Which bringing the gun in and filling the CF tank was no problem but Some TSA agents will allow pellets as carry-on, some will not.

I broke down the FX Maverick for easy transport in a 22 inch case and placed inside my luggage. Declared at the ticket counter and was good to go.

The iguanas looked normal size thru the scope at long distance but they are really huge once you see them up close.

I can’t thank Andy enough for taking the time to take us hunting. This was awesome!!!

Wow!

Huge iguana, Huge tilapia, and 100 acres, amazing.

Thanks for explaining the AG transport scenario, doesn't sound like much of a hassle.

Very cool that you packed that much devastation into a 22" case!
