If you think your gun is loud. Step away

For the first time in about 10 years I had someone shoot a few of my guns on my porch and range and I got to step away, Wow my guns are not loud...

My in-law came over that pretty well knows his way around guns , I got out three of my PCP had them shoot them while I stood about 20 feet away, I was still under my porch,,, I pulled out my Veteran 22 short with a generic 7inch carbon fiber LDC shooting 18gr JSB at 880FPS very quite,

Next was my Uragan standard shooting 10.3 gr JSB at 940 FPS No LDC very very Quite but a little sharper sound.

Next up was the Prophet 25 shooting 34gr JSB at 920 FPS with a LDC Tatsu from Donny, The gun was quite, Kind of a solid sound but quite, Now that 34 gr hitting anything at 48 yards makes a little noise I would call that LOUD. The wood had a good smack but the metal was loud

My friends garage is 220 yards from my house. He says he never hears my guns but he can tell when I’m shooting one of my .25’s. Pellets or slugs smacking the targets are very loud and gets his attention. When I’m building a good functioning shroud, I always lay my phone 30ft away and record me shooting. Too much racket, especially with bullpups, going on by my ear to judge how loud the report is. A loud gun can still have a silent report.

Quiet vs quite
