I have a 22 and 25 and I really wanted to go back to my roots with 177 and explore that. And I wanted a compact mag fed rifle. Pests on my yard are agama lizards, and occasional iguana, rats, mice, and squirrels. So 177 is perfect. I also only have a max distance in my backyard of 35 yards. And for evening plicking to forget about work you can really throw a lot of lead with 177.Congratulations on a nice looking guns and a couple clean kills.
My only 177 is a P35 which likes H&N Baracuda Match 4.52s the best. One tin of Crosman heavies shot well in it but the next two shot poorly. I've only taken 5 squirrels with it and none have run off but my dog finished off two of them. One was hit in the shoulder and the other in the throat. The throat hit was by accident and the squirrel dropped at the shot but then climbed a short distance up another tree when it saw the dog coming. It then fell and she shook it to finish it off. 5 squirrels is not much experience but I think 177s work fine with well placed shots. Seems to be a little more margin for less than great shot placement with higher powered 22s and especially 25s, however. I plan to gather more data with my 177. It's a fun gun to shoot and it gets the job done.

This is the first order of pellets and slugs I am going to test and tune for when I get the time.
