Having more than a handful of slingers is quite the way to overload your brain with information! Have you had troubles remembering what you scope is zero'd at?....remember the pellet style and brand it loves
.. but forget the weight? Have a preference for something on it setup for certain things? Etc etc etc...🤪🤙
started notebooks, got apps helpings, notes here and there...
...got tired of it!🤯🥴🙃Sooooooooo!
Searched around for ideas on how I can remember little but pertinent information without the need for apps, a whole notebook, etc.
Not that I can't remember...but so much information cramming is making me need to clear a little extra thinking space back into my brain😅
So I figured ... hmm i needing some sort of a way to just have a few details on the slingers while still being able to be removed of need be. Doesn't need to be flashy. Not too big or it would be in the way.
If it's removable; using said slinger for hunting would be OK because I could read the info, set up the slinger with those small details, remove the info, hunt, then when putting slinger away, reattach information.
But how....🤔
Tapeing a paper to it.....nah mmmmmaybe...
Hmm...need a piece of paper like material to right on...
...not just paper...that wouldn't last long before getting crumpled up....
Could I tape....aw forget the dang tape already!...*weeks go by* 😅
🤔a lanyard with like an ID badge!!...dang naw...too big...
if I don't find a solution soon....🫠
I forget what exactly I was talking about with my lady(it was about a movie or a show...i forget bc of the light bulb that blinded all other prevous thought except two words that she said)but it hit me!🤩
I asked her what'd you just say?
She said: Toe tags
🫨oh! I bolted across the room and snatched.my keys into my hand, staring at them for a second. She knew, and said: store?😆
I said: yes!
We skedaddled on over to wallys world. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for but I KNNEEWW I was about to find it. Exot the car and upon entrance, it dawned on me that I had no idea where to start. So I stood there confused.for a second. She said something about needed pens...🤷‍♂️I said: ok, I'll think on the way(it's all the way in the back anyways).
Going through the pens and paper, I tell her I'm gunna check the other side...
Went around the aisle looking amd scanning the products...
Hmm there are those lanyards! ...I go to grab them!...eeee YIKES!! $7FOR 1😱
Scratch that idea...dang dang...man..start to walk away and shake my head, eyes closed, ...
Third left side shake of my head, I open my eyes as I'm bringing my head back center to continue walking normal...and...
I SEE THEM!!!!👀
I see the price...Not even close to $4 for 25?!
I GRAB THEM, holding them in my hand, smiling. Here is my answer. A piece of paper, ...thick paper
...reinforced with a touch of metal...keyring attached. Ih yes yes YES! A couple of cheapy neon wire ties to hold them on. I'm sleeping good tonight with some room memory room cleared up in there!
It might look funny to some, but I love it, it works, and my brain feels better already!🤪

Hm. Seems a bit odd. The zeroing I mean. I reckon maybe you have an app you can punch zero into and it'll give the rest?. I've always zerod my guns for the same distance. Hold over/unders I just remember. I guess practice kind of ingrains that. Either way. Whatever works!

Also, I run very few projectiles. Hm, at least it feels like it. You must be testing too much ammo 😂 Once you use it for a while you won't need to remember, it's just what you use.

25 I only use 25gr jsb king
30 only jsb 45gr
Id like to test slugs for both but havnt been able to be bothered yet. (mainly for devastating expansion capability). Power is no issue, just has to be determined if they'll group. Well, I know the 30 will. 25 I have no idea.
177 is either 12.5gr slugs or 8gr cphp
22 is primarily cphp, 16gr aa, or 18gr jsb, rarely 25gr slugs

Forty.....nope.. 45 different .177 ammos and...31 or 32 ammos in .22😅🤷‍♂️
Between....17...no 18 slingers🤗🤓
Yes...lots and lots of tests🤣🤙

Whew, so glad my airgun world is so SIMPLE! Only have 3 guns. All 3 are Original Smooth Twist barrels & each 1 has one preferred pellet. ALL 3 are incredibly accurate. SIMPLICITY RULES! ;) (y) That's a good thing at this point in my life as I forget why I'm heading into the kitchen 5 steps into the 10 step journey there!🤪

My problem with tape(s); the weather here. It will stay for a season or two. Then it either melts off or flakes off(extreme heat/extreme cold), Or I change part of the setup; removing tape usually leaves behind a residue. This way I'm clear of residue and I can save the tags, swap to a different setup, make a new tag, and still be able to use the old tag to setup back to what's on that tag. I'd have to put the tape on something else to save it. Then reusing tape is not always fun.🤷‍♂️😅

That’s why I didn’t say duct tape, but electrical tape adhesive, while less sticky, is still sticky when heated. Glad the toe tags fit the bill! The clink/dangle/flop would drive me nuts enough that I would make a text file to store the info. With a paper hard copy of it folded up and carried with me before shooting anywhere except at home.

Oh! That's why I chose these, they have a little key ring, just slip it off when in use, then clip it back on after

At least it's only half way there. I usually end up going the distance and then can't remember.🤔
