FX I wonder why FX is using a purple anodizing ?

Uh oh. That's not a good sign. Usually (not always) when it looks purple it's a thinner or lower grade of anodizing. For the price they charge us it should be hard coat ano on everything. None of my m3 ano looks that way..... They need to square up.

likely an artifact from the camera, how your screen interprets that data from the camera etc

Older batch of ano....either that or fx just doesn't care. This seems like a VERY easy thing to catch and fix

I know from past experience that environmental laws in certain countries impact the anodizing processes which are available for companies to use.

My DRS Tac also has a purplish hue in direct sunlight... though you'd be hard pressed to see it now!

The same rifle, drs 600mm from a new batch (it has the clicking hammer adjuster)

But you can't deny that the anodising isn't as solid as the saber chassis

when we see the anodizing going like that we renew the dye, with the stuff we do when the dye is getting old it go's like that, we only do small batches so it may be different in a commercial setup
