Sure, i dont mind sharing, it was summertime in North Carolina, in the middle of the day, my dog outside on a chain raising hell cause this fox gets under the house which was open underneath the front porch, i went outside bare foot, the fox ran out from under the front porch bit me on top of my left foot, and ran back under the house, so i go inside and clean the wound, it was not real bad but you can tell its a bite mark by the teeth puncture holes, so i call sheriff dept, a deputy and animal control show up, this fox was stumbling around like it was drunk, the deputy shot it with his taser, this fox being tased still raised its neck and head up off the ground, thats how mad in the head it was, i grap an iron rake and dragged it out, deputy shoots it , i wanted to cut the tail off and keep it but was told i couldn't do that, animal control sends it off for examination, the county health dept. calls me 3 days later{ county health dept handels all rabies cases } they tell me fox was positive for rabies, and E.R. is expecting me and i need to get rabies injections, so I go to E.R. a nurse from health dept and a RN. from hospital take me straight to the back, they got copies of reports from deputy and animal control officer, they take my height and weight [ this determines how much vaccine you have to have] so lab determines i need 11 injections , 4 of those injections on that day back to back, this vaccine is rather thick and takes a large bore syringe to administer, now they always say it goes in your hip, but we all know its not your hip it is the butt, so after that 4 the first day, i went back and got 2 every other day , the last day i got one, the interesting thing after you have been vaccinated is now i go to heath dept and donate blood so more vaccine can be made from my blood. Thanks for letting me rant!!
