I want to add a .30/.357 to my collection

I have been given the go ahead from the wife to buy another toy. I want the usual perfection one hole groups @ 100 yrds!!!LOL just kiddin.. Really though I am considering the Bobcat mk2 or the cricket so far. I would love to buy the Impact but I am afraid I would join the list of the unhappy! I do not tinker besides trying different pellets and different fill pressures. What I am wanting is something for ground hogs primarily. My vulcan 25 does a pretty good job but I dont like shooting passed 75yrds with it at something that size.
Expectations are :
Decent 100yrd groups
Multi shot
20 shots per fill or better
Noise level not too important just as long as it isn't ear ringing loud
Comfortable to shoulder
I fill from a SCBA so fill pressure doesnt matter
I like bullpups but could be persuaded
Help me out guys

I've heard great things about the (non bullpup) FX Boss, I've done great things with the Impact, and I know the Bobcat (Hybrid) comes in .30 as well. I had a .25 Bobcat that did very well at the long ranges.
Daystate has the Wolverine in it's lineup although it's not a bullpup. Can't say much about it as I haven't shot one. But, I know they put out quality rifles.
Good luck with your hunt!
Tom

I was in your shoes until I got the FX Boss synthetic...

Man! this is too much gun for me. It shoulders like a light gun though it's long. Materials are exceptional (not better than the Daystate .303 Wolverine I've held). Cocking lever is slick as hell...very quiet IMO and I'm shooting backyard suburbia (tad louder than my .25 marauder). The trigger is scarey light (Too damn light) though you can adjust it. 40+ shots easy on a 200 bar fill. 50 yrds shooting you'll find boring...this gun needs to stretch its legs...(.30 cal Polymags don't group too well past 60yrds).

IMO the best 100 yard pellet gun is a high powered 25 able to push the 34 grain over 880 fps or a 30 cal shooting 75+ fps. The FX Impact and Boss are proven winners at 100 yard competitions. After some research and seeing Ted win the 100 yard EBR using a 25 Impact I went with a Georgia power tuned 25 Cricket. Its shooting the 34 grain at 920 fps = 63+ fpe. On a 3200 - 3300 psi Im getting 35 - 38 consistent shots. The good thing about the Georgia power tune is it doesn't stress the reg or hammer spring.

Last time I checked Georgia Airgun had two 25's with the power tune for sale. Both had skeleton stocks. The 34 grain pellets are cheaper than the 30's and they use less air. My second choice for a 100 yard airgun was the FX Boss(wood stock). Those 30 cal ST barrels are very accurate, I have never heard of in inaccurate 30 cal ST.

The only thing keeping me from the boss is the length it is 5 inches longer than the marauder . I will be mostly in the open but when in the woods in ohio it can be quite thick, The Mrod is a 25 like the vulcan so i never shoot it anymore. The bullpup is versatile but not a easy to shoot a a rifle for myself that is why I am leaning more toward the Bobcat in 30 cal, but the boss is very beautiful as with the RAW's.

That was something that scared me a little then I weighed the Mrod and found it to be 11.4lbs the way I have it dressed and before I received the vulcan it was my squirrel gun and the main reason for buying the Vulcan was shot count and the growing fashion of the bullpups. I figure with some research to find the lightest scope and bi-pod it shouldn't be much more that that.

I went with a walnut right handed sporter stock with adjustable cheek riser, adjustable buttpad and accessory rail inlet with the picatinny/weaver conversion adapter for bi pod and full carbon fiber wrapped barrel with the standard moderator in 30 cal. I really love walnut and hope I get one with a really nice grain pattern. The 12 week wait is solely because I wanted the adjustable cheek riser on the sporter stalk.I really wanted an ambi stock but the only one offered is the LRT model stock and that look isn't for me. I feel really good dealing directly with the manufacture and not a middle man. Plus the wife and I will drive down and pick it up. We like short adventures. Who knows what you might find along the way and the kids get to see different places. Its a win win!
